Ube means Purple Yam in Tagalog. It is native to the Philippines 🇵🇭. Ube is popular in Filipino desserts. It is sweet, mild, nutty and has notes of vanilla. Ube is a root vegetable similar to sweet potato.  It pairs well with coconut.
